on a side note, i have to deal with parents who wont be too happy to learn that their daughter has once again made it into a hiphop group. but after so long, why can't they understand that hiphop is something that i love, and why can't they learn to accept it. freakin double standards in this household. younger sister is in modern dance, practices end just as late and occur just as frequently for her, and they dont see a problem with it. the only difference is that she's there pointing her toes, and we're here trying to hit to beat. whatever it is, i'm gonna stay true to what i love doing, hiphop.

on a side note, there is so much i wanna say, but i really can't. so only you and you alone will know what went on on saturday. i really enjoyed spending the time with you. its not everyday that that could happen right? but it will soon! -crosses fingers for the 12th-. it's as if only so few people are able to get what we have. other people just judge and make passing comments about things they think they know so much about. others just can't accept it because of how rigid they are in their ways. but it all doesn't matter, what matters is that we get each other.

its been two days and i haven't spoken to you. i thought it was supposed to get easier for us with time, but its the complete opposite. after seeing you almost everyday last week, not being able to talk to you after just one day seems suicidal. this can't be right. i spent such a long time trying to convince myself that i can be independent and happy on my own, but the moment you took a more important role in my life, those months of reflecting seemed to have never taken place at all. don't be mistaken babe, you're the best thing that has happened to me this year. i'm just wondering how i'll cope should you decide that we're better off on our own.

[roll the windows down, turn the radio up, push the pedal to the ground. gaze at starry skies, close your eyes, pretend to fly..]

ocs social night. 20/06/09. safti cadets' mess. went with jared. met a couple his friends, who up till then were just voices and names on the phone. wasn't exactly a "party" party but then again, it was social night. jared sang some song i didn't know by 3doorsdown, but it was really nice though. funny how its the first time i actually heard him sing a full song, and we've known each other, 3 years? better late than never! annoying people who didn't listen, so much for social etiquette class the day before, haha. totally their loss. i must say the boys did look very good dressed up, and their dates looked just as pretty. met a couple of rj ppl, no surprise there. finally ended at 1130+ took a couple photos. then cabbed all the way to icecube in serangoon gardens for ice cream. got home, tired, and still had to get off all the makeup and stuff... finally got to sleep at 230.. but as long as the day was, it was definitely a night to remember.

this weekend has been mad. didn't even get a chance to rest. so much for the weekend. spent friday with meily and vic, then had dance till late. sat, dance again early in the morning till afternoon, rushed to nus for a talk (thank you jared for making me sit through a talk that isn't even vaguely related to what i'm gonna pursue). rushed home and got ready in record time to be picked up by jared who arrived in my chariot (comfort taxi) to rush to a concert/competition his brother was singing at. the first half of the concert was kinda painful, but the bands after the intermission were really good. finding michelle has become my new fav local band. yaye for them. left before the results, had enough of screaming little mgs girls. i swear i have partially lost my hearing cause of that. now that the madness is over, time to get down to doing uni apps. another phase of my life i'm so dreading. sigh.

didn't have much of a mood to do anything cause jared and gab were booking in a few hours later.
today was supposed to be the gang's "three week"-ly meetup.
but BIG SURPRISE, didn't happen, and just the usual ppl were able to make it.
met up at tcc. yumyum! didn't take photos, no one had cam, and our usual camwhore bruno was unsually quiet. hmm...
baked brownies for the boys to bring back to camp, and yaye! they liked it!
gabriel ~~finished all six pieces on his own~~ shared them with his section mates and they liked it! though he idiotically pranked me by saying they sucked! hmph!
what should i bake next week...

it doesn't take a genius to see if a relationship is important to another person or not. how much can it mean to the person if no effort is put into the relationship. how does one expect it to continue, and i ain't even talking about keeping it strong. if chasing a momentary "love interest" is so much more important than keeping a friendship that we once thought was so strong, then so be it. i'm so over trying to salvage our friendship, when it obviously doesn't mean enough to you. i just feel so stupid for actually thinking that i meant more than that to you girls. call me gullible, but at least i finally realised that it was a complete waste of time and feelings. it took me more than two years to find out who my true friends are, its in the people who were always there but were silently watching over you. the people who were actually there when you needed a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, and warm smile or hug that will make everything ok. the people who genuinely wanted to get to know you by talking to and spending time with you. these people obviously weren't you.

went to meet jared later at ssdc to sign up for final theory.
then crashed at my house to shower before heading out to town.
shopped a bit.
jared got a shirt, athena chose the colour, damn nice i think!
then watched the other side of the line. nice show, at least i thought so.
met the others at seoul garden for dinner, during which the guys showed us the inability to cook.
athena initially wanted to go acidbar/howl at the moon with the guys, but too moody! ahh!

oh yes, shoutout to jared who got athena, ain and nicole roses. totally unexpected!
and thanks for buying mine pink! haha! appreciate it! and buying another one when the first one died!! haha! yaye!

bride wars with jared last saturday.
good movie with a twist at the end. really nice actually, even jared the anti said so.
walked around a bit, was supposed to buy his clothes, in the end, didn't buy shit, and i was left lusting after a teeshirt, that i finally bought after much deliberation.
met bruno for dinner, wanted to take jared to eat sushi for the first time at sushi tei @ paragon, but found out that waiting time was more than an hour, so we made our way down to spagheddies.
went over to sanctuary@indochine for drinks.
bruno is on a quest to drink every cocktail on the menu before he enlists.

was pretty much bummed out that night, (thanks to certain ppl!), so yeah, but whatev, had the company of the two guys so cheered up a bit.

cts are finally over.
doubt i'll even pass anything.
i swear i'll work hard for ct2.
but what other choice do i have?
i mean, pressures to keep up, expectations to meet.
coming cts are gonna be worse because all of j1 work plus j2 work will be tested.
if that's not scary enough,
it'll be the last tests before prelims.

what hurts the most, is being so close, and having so much to say and watching you walk away.

ok, seriously, watching stepup2 with the streeters,

IT WAS THE BOMB!!!!

OMG, THE MOVIE WAS GREAT!

THE DANCING WAS GREAT!

THE STREETERS WERE SUPER HIGH!

AND DANCING IN THE CINEMA WAS UBER x GAZILLION FUN!!!

lol.. really, like this kinda thing can only happen when you're with the streeters, watching a dance movie, and sitting in the back row surrounded by streeters. haha!

the movie was sooooo great!

we could totally relate.

and it so doesn't help when you're sitting in the row with the most highly reactive j2s who respond to practically EVERYTHING that was said!

luckily rachel was smart enough to put us j2s in the backrow, otherwise we would have gotten thrown out of the cinema for disrupting the movie!

the last part was sooo cool!

dancing in the rain and looking ultra hot while she's at it, like seriously, how much cooler can it get!

maybe we should consider getting some rain machines in school.. haha!

so much for not expecting so you won't be disappointed.
its not as if the feeling will go away if you try ignoring it.
its a classic example of how you can feel so happy and yet so crappy at the same time.
feeling so happy for her and yet, you feel like shit because of how you make other people around feel. you just disappointed everyone around you, if only you had done a little better, then others around you would feel truly happy. stupid girl. why are you such a let down? disappointing people around you all the time. not living up to expectations. people just stop caring and start giving up. there are even times when you yourself feel like giving up. feel like you're all alone, cause you don't want to go to anyone else, lest you're bothering them.
maybe the world will be better off without...

but it is in times like this, when you just want someone to say that they love you and that everything will be ok.

[100th POST!!!]

so its two days into the week.
school's been a bitch cause:
1) they changed our home room from our nice raffles room, to a science block classroom. so it isn't really called our homeroom anymore cause we can't even stay in there to study, cause we get chased out cause little J1s invade everytime there's a break, or even AFTER SCHOOL!
2) from the looks of it, the a'level results are most likely NOT gonna come out before friday, so that means we have to take out CHINESE CTS! which means all our plans are screwed up! ahhh! -annoyed-
3) being on the top schools, there really isn't much logic in its policies.

angst aside, time to get down to serious stuff.
cts are in two weeks, and i got hell loads of work to do.
better start now, though i think it'll just a be a repeat of last year.
the special day in the leap year is this week.
was watching the making of leap years today...
apparently, there's a legend that goes, "if a girl asks a guy out on the 29th, he can't say no.",

CCA FESTE PERF WAS A BLAST!!!!
ANOTHER GREAT PERFORMANCE TO ADD TO OUR RECORD!
and really, streeters, i think we're beginning to more look like a hiphop crew!
but on a more serious note, i think we've really grown as dancers over the last one year.
from our performances, we've really improved!
from almost total noobs, we've trained hard to become the dancers we are today!
i think for that, we deserve a pat on the back..
but still, we do it for the love of hiphop and dance and not the credit right?
we've been trying hard to be recognized as a cca, and sometimes we get a little discouraged because of the image slapped on us,
and it gets a little frustrating when we're constantly being compared to the other dance groups. but in the end, it boils down to our love for hiphop and each other that keeps us going...
going through the tough times together makes everything better right?

the friendships we've forged through the many many hours we spend learning and perfecting choreo, and getting on each others' nerves cause of the long hours, will be something only the streeters understand.

watched enchanted* this week.

dance prac again today. TIRING but fun i guess. left early to help my sis get ready for graduation prom.. was kinda sad to leave prac at first, but now i'm glad that i did.. cause after helping her.. i realised that i wouldn't have missed it for the world! for once in my life, she said something sweet to me.. who knew that the four words, "thanks erjie, for everything!" could make you feel all weird inside.. i actually felt like crying!! who knew that doing little things as "small" as helping her dress, doing her hair, or packing her things for the sleepover, would be such a big thing to her at the end of the day,, and eventually have such a great impact on me indirectly.. seeing her all smiles, looking her best in her perfect dress, and knowing that you had part to play in it, and her saying a simple thank you, lets you know that everything was worth it! i guess these are the moments that she and i will remember and look back on.. and that these are the moments that will make our relationship now even stronger.

all i wanna say is that, friends out there with siblings, treasure your relationships with them! make sure that every moment you spend with them is worth remembering! even if it means going out of your way to help them! cause that is what family is all about. know that efforts from the heart never go unnoticed, even if they seem that they do because appreciation isn't expressed verbally. know that she appreciates your help so very much no matter how small and she loves you so very much for being you, even if she calls you annoying and bimbo all the time! think of your family as the habour you can always count on returning to, even in the scariest and fiercest of storms.
